History

Freedom, “A Church for All People”, is a multicultural congregation on the northwest side of San Antonio. Pastor Anthony Lamb and his wife Carolyn founded the church in October 1995.  The church held its first services at Luv N Care Daycare, located less than one hundred yards from our present location.

After meeting at Luv N Care for over a year with just a handful of people, the church renovated an old bar and relocated to the inner city. For the next six years Freedom, under God’s direction, began to steadily grow in number. In 2002, after purchasing property and completing a building project, we were able to begin holding services at our present location. Central to the growth and outreach of Freedom has been a strong emphasis on prayer. Through the Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting, scores of people have encountered the power and presence of God.

Our Mission & Vision

The mission of Freedom is to love God, love one another, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. We have found freedom and wisdom in the simplicity of Jesus’ words when He said, “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto myself.”

The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of spreading the gospel in San Antonio, the surrounding area, and to all the world through our world-wide Missions support.

We seek to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.
