Pastor LambPastor Anthony Lamb was born and raised at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the small country town of Stanardsville, Virginia. Upon graduating high school, he immediately entered the United States Army.

Shortly after joining the Army he was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky. It was here where he surrendered his life to Christ. One year later while serving as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division he joined the Berean Baptist Church of Fayetteville, North Carolina. It was there he met and married Carolyn Ridgedell. He also felt his call into the ministry. Upon finishing his military service he felt a need for formal training. Pastor Lamb earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pastoral Theology and furthered his studies with a Master of Education degree.

In February of 1992 Pastor Lamb and his wife, Carolyn, moved to Virginia Beach where they founded the East Coast Baptist Church. Feeling the Lord leading them to establish another church, they moved to San Antonio, Texas. This led to the establishment of Freedom in October of 1995. Pastor Lamb and Carolyn were married in February of 1986, and are the parents of 8 children.
